Cathy Hatcher is a retired educator who has been visiting Zambia regularly since 2006. She and her husband, Rick now spend several months each year working with rural communities to train early learning teachers. While gathering supplies for teacher training Cathy discovered the shortage of simple early learning books for Africa children. Thus, the creation of the Mulenga children books written for the education of children worldwide. The profits from Mulenga book sales go into the ED Project.

Emily Padilla was born in D.R. Congo, in Africa, but grew up in Indiana, USA. Currently she is working with the New Life Center in Zambia, Africa. Emily has been creating art since she was a child and has continued throughout school and as an adult for her own enjoyment and growth as an artist. Emily attended Huntington University majoring in Biology with an emphasis on cross-cultural ministry.
